I'm speechless. Japan lost one of its most talented composers: pianist Hirotaka Izumi died of a massive heart attack at the age of 62 on April 26, 2021. He was a member of T-SQUARE from 1982 to 1997 and author of some of the most memorable and famous songs from the band, like "OMENS OF LOVE", "TAKARAJIMA", "WHITE MANE", "TWILIGHT IN UPPER WEST", "TRAVELERS" and "EL MIRAGE". Not to forget the less famous tracks, such as "Dandelion Hill", "BEYOND THE DAWN", "SALAMANDER" and "ROUTE 405". Izumi had the ability to create round melodies with an absolutely powerful energy or an extraordinary sensitivity. He was one of my favorite composers - if not "the" favorite - and one of the most talented to be part of the group, always appearing on several T-SQUARE concerts as a guest and even creating new songs for the commemorative albums. Thanks for everything, Mr. Izumi, you'll be missed. :(
